Young People’s Rights (UNCRC)

Rights for children and young people are listed in the United Nations Convention on Rights of the Child (UNCRC). These rights are in place to make sure that young people get what they need to be safe, healthy and to thrive. Some of your rights are:

  • Education
  • To be listened to and taken seriously
  • A decent standard of living (a home, good food and water)
  • Protection from harm of any kind

There is lots of information about young people’s rights. Listed below are some of the local and national organisations that promote the UNCRC.
