Rights Respecting Schools in an awards programme led by UNICEF.

Schools can earn their Rights Respecting Schools Award by proving that they:

  • teach pupils and staff about the UNCRC. This might happen in lessons, school groups and staff training.
  • promote children’s rights on school displays and social media channels.
  • respect the rights of pupils through their everyday practice.
  • take action for other children and young people who are not able to access their rights.

Is your school a Rights Respecting School? Would you like to get involved?

For further information about the Rights Respecting Schools Award contact your Young Person’s Rights Officer at 4u@scottstreet@pkc.gov.uk or check out the website here.
