Working alongside staff from Glasgow Life Museums, the Youth Panel will help ensure the voices of young people are heard and represented in the People’s Palace.
You’ll be able to get involved in different activities as the project progresses – this might include things like advising staff on how the People’s Palace can be more inclusive for young people and working with curators to help create exhibition story displays.
The group will meet on Tuesdays from 6.00pm – 8.00pm at the Kelvin Hall, 1445 Argyle St, Glasgow G3 8AW
We are looking for young people aged 18-26 who are available to meet four times between May and November. You’ll be excited to share your views and ideas about Glasgow’s Social History and be able to work well with the others on the panel and our staff.
You’ll get a £26 Scotland Loves Local voucher for each 2 hour meeting you attend, travel expenses if you don’t have a Young Scot/NEC card and we’ll provide refreshments at meetings. You’ll be able to meet other young people in Glasgow and staff working on the People’s Palace Project, have the opportunity to help shape the future of one of Glasgow’s best-loved museums and be able to access all of the support that you need to take part, including interpreters or accessible transport if you need it.
