Fatemah Ghanem MSYP for Glasgow Kelvin
Hello, I am Fatemah. I am 20 years old. I have been an MSYP since 2021. I am a university student studying psychology. Alongside studying and my role in the Scottish Youth Parliament, I am actively involved in community work and volunteering. I volunteer with many different organisations in various roles, supporting young people and adults. Additionally, I am a trustee at a community charity. I enjoy and appreciate nature, and I am a fan of encouraging others to enjoy it as well because it is very important for our wellbeing.
Politics has always interested me. I’ve been passionate about addressing specific issues with the young people around me. I’ve seen them struggle a lot, and I wanted to be their voice and ensure they’re heard. That’s why I chose to be a part of the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP). It’s youth-led, democratic, and impartial, which is crucial for effective representation and achieving positive change together as young people.
