About the Renfrewshire Youth Work Network

Renfrewshire Youth Work Network is made up of partners who represent the interests of all young people in Renfrewshire.  Most importantly it actually includes young people to help make decisions and plan.  It also includes organisations from the public and third sector (non-profit).  The group is always growing and welcomes new members.  Here are some of those who attend:

  • CREATE Paisley
  • YMCA
  • Youth Services, Renfrewshire Council
  • Right 2 Dance
  • Active Communities

The network exists so that we can maximise opportunities for young people in Renfrewshire and so that it’s not just young people having a say but actively influence decision-making and planning of the services for all of Renfrewshire’s young people. Not only that, young people come along to meetings to take part and make sure their voices are directly included – are you part of a group of young people who want to get involved and help partners shape what is available? Get in touch with us.

A community learning and development approach is used and partners work to the nationally recognised Youth Work Outcomes to help develop young people’s confidence and skills to take on challenges and remove barriers to achieving.  By valuing and respecting each other and working together as a partnership, we are able to strengthen our support by sharing resources, ideas, funding, training and skills.

If you are a young person and you attend a group or service who might be interested please feel free to let them know about the Renfrewshire Youth Work Network! Or maybe you run a group and are interested. Either way we would love to. hear from you.

The Youth Work Network meets regularly and if you would like to know more or be a part of it please drop the network a line.
