About the Renfrewshire Youth Work Network

Renfrewshire Youth Work Network is made up of partners who represent the interests of all young people in Renfrewshire.  Most importantly it actually includes young people to help make decisions and plan.  It also includes organisations from the public and third sector (non-profit).  The group is aways growing and welcomes new members.  Here are some of those who attend:

  • CREATE Paisley
  • YMCA
  • Youth Services, Renfrewshire Council
  • Right 2 Dance
  • Active Communities

The network exists so that we can maximise opportunities for young people in Renfrewshire and so that it’s not just young people having a say but actively influence decision making and planning of the services for all of Renfrewshire’s young people.

A community learning and development approach is used and partners work to the nationally recognised Youth Work Outcomes to help develop young people’s confidence and skills to take on challenges and remove barriers to achieving.  By valuing and respecting each other and working together as a partnership, we are able to strengthen our support by sharing resources, ideas, funding, training and skills.

The Youth Work Network meets regularly and if you would like to know more or be a part of it please drop the network a line.
