Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis

Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis support women and girls aged 13 years and older who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any point in their lives. Survivors can receive emotional support and/or advocacy support.

Here at Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis, we have a volunteers programme. Our volunteers take a very important role in our centre, thanks to them our helpline has been running for decades. Volunteers are invaluable members of the Glasgow & Clyde Rape Crisis team.

About the training:
Our training lasts around 10 weeks, during which volunteers will develop understanding of complex issues related to gender-based violence. When a volunteer completes this part of the training programme successfully, they will then undertake shadowing with mentors on Helpline calls. This volunteering is for women only, as we are a woman only service.

There are opportunities for volunteers to lead to employment within our centre, once they have completed the volunteer programme.

If you are interested in our volunteering, please email info@rapecrisiscentre-glasgow.co.uk explaining you are interested in volunteering.
