Call for Candidates – Scottish Youth Parliament

By-Elections are happening in Glasgow Kelvin, Glasgow Pollok and Glasgow Shettleston constituencies of the Scottish Youth Parliament. If you want to make a difference in your community and are aged 14-25 – stand as a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament!

If you’re interested in representing young people in your community, want to stand up and make a difference on issues that matter, and have some time to give to do this then this opportunity is for you. MSYPs represent their community (known as a constituency) in the Scottish Youth Parliament. There are two young people in each constituency and they consult with young people, bring people together and represent their views in the SYP at national sittings. If you have around 3-6 hours a week and think that you have the skills to represent others, get involved by sending us an enquiry. You’ll represent your community until the end of the term – in November 2025. Any young person who is 14-25 and who lives or attends school in the constituency can stand. You can find out if you’re eligible by putting your post code into search box on the Scottish Boundaries Commission website at https://boundaries.scot/ There are three constituencies up for a vote in this election: – Glasgow Kelvin – Glasgow Pollok – Glasgow Southside Please send us an enquiry before Friday, 27th September to get involved and find out more.
