About PKAVS Young Carers

Who Are Young Carers?

Young Carers are aged 5 -15 years old and Young Adult Carers are 16-25 years old . They  provide emotional or practical support to a family member of any age, due to disability, mental health issues, chronic/terminal illness or problems relating to alcohol or substance misuse.

Our Services

During the Covid 19  crisis  the Young Carers team have adapted  services and continue to provide support through :

1:1 emotional and practical support using phone or video call Virtual Zoom social groups Educational attainment support (virtual tutoring) Carers consultation/voice groups Counselling
