Hi all
Download and read the children’s version of the Scottish National Adaptation Plan (SNAP3).
This version of the plan is a fairly easy read , and could be of interest to a young person who’s looking to find out a bit more about our environment, how we’re trying to improve it – or who’s thinking about getting involved in some local activities. The plan both acknowledges and makes reference to children and young people’s Rights and so offer a good starting point if you want to get involved, ask about more questions about what happening in Scotland or challenge what we’re don’t or not doing to improve our Environment!
Essentially, the plan is to help us prepare and ‘adapt’ for the expected effects of climate change in Scotland over the next five years.. To read the plan click on the link:
You can also access fuller adult, Gaelic and easy read versions of the plan, alongside some other useful documents via: About the Scottish Government’s National Adaptation Plan (SNAP3) – Adaptation Scotland
As with the wider Scottish National Adaptation Plan, each local authority must by law draw up and show its plans on how it will deal with climate change for the next five years. And so, you can access the more localised documents which specifically refer to Edinburgh in its “Climate Ready Edinburgh Plan via: https://adaptation.scot/our-work/climate-ready-edinburgh/
