You’ll need to be free for the following sessions (in person, in Edinburgh):
- Friday 21st February 2-5pm
- Friday 28th February 2-5pm
- Friday 14th March 2-5pm
All travel costs will be covered and lunch will be provided.

About this opportunity
What are your thoughts about AI? How do you feel about its increasing presence in our daily lives? As technologies evolve, we want to hear about your thoughts and experiences on this important issue!
What does it involve?
Exclusive tours: get behind-the-scenes access to cutting-edge facilities like The National Robotarium, the UK’s centre for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Hear from leading researchers and meet some of our robots!
Development workshops: dive into themes such as trust in AI, robotics and healthcare, Generative AI, and much more with an expert science communicator.
Meeting new people: get to know friendly PhD students working alongside you on the Panel as well as university researchers, technicians and lecturers you’ll meet along the way.

No Experience Needed - You don’t need to be a tech whizz to join. Just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
Gain new skills - As a panel member, you’ll help shape future events and explore the future of science and technology. You’ll build your personal skills by working with Heriot-Watt University’s Public Engagement Team, learning about event delivery and various other transferable skills.
Public and community engagement is crucial to our research – Your participation helps ensure our work addresses societal challenges and remains relevant. You’ll also gain insights into ongoing research and learn about new developments!
