Stirling Duke Of Edinburgh Volunteers: Meet Juan

DofE (Duke of Edinburgh) across Stirling is supported by a vast network of volunteers without them there would not be as many opportunities for young people to participant in DofE. We have 2 volunteer lead centres who are supported by the High School for approval of expeditions.  Our other 5 High Schools support DofE within their schools but with the support of local volunteers to ensure young people have the opportunity to experience DofE.

In 2021 Dunblane group coordinator Juan Escala received royal recognition for his 9 years (now 11) of dedication to the award.  He enrolled 1463 participants and supported 76 leaders. This equalled to an impressive 33 thousand hours’ worth of volunteering!
