History is Treasure Point of Interest No.1 Wyndford Lock Banknock

Welcome to Falkirk CLD’s ‘History is Treasure’ History Treasure Hunt. Join us on an adventure to explore different areas across Falkirk Council. Find out about our points of interest by watching the videos and then go out to find the treasure at our points of interest.

Today’s point of Interest is the Wyndford Lock in Banknock, this is the most westerly point in our History Hunt.

Wyndford Lock is near the boundary line of Falkirk Council and North Lanarkshire Council. This point of interest is on the Forth and Clyde Canal and is a short walk away from the Antonine Wall and John Muir way.
