History is Treasure Point of Interest no 12 The Avon Aqueduct

Welcome to Falkirk CLD’s ‘History is Treasure’ History Treasure Hunt. Join us on an adventure to explore different areas across Falkirk Council. Find out about our points of interest by watching the videos and then go out to find the treasure at our points of interest.

This point of interest is the Avon Aqueduct. The Avon Aqueduct is the second largest aqueduct in Britain and is the largest in Scotland. It measures 247m long, 25.9m high  and 7.2m wide.  You can access the aqueduct via Muiravonside Country Park.
