Young people are Living Life to the Full

The Community Learning and Development service has recently launched the Living Life to the Full course throughout North Lanarkshire, providing support to young people who are struggling with their mental health. The course is designed to help young people who suffer from stress, depression and anxiety.  Living Life to the Full covers topics such as understanding your feelings, doing things that make you feel better, building inner confidence and more.

In Airdrie, the youth work team are supporting two groups of young people through this course which has helped the young people to work out why they feel the way they do, plan activities to make them feel better and how to spot and change self-defeating thinking.  These groups have allowed the young people to share coping strategies among themselves while building strong relationships with one another along the way and working towards meeting national youth work outcomes.  Currently, these sessions have been adapted to suit online learning.

For more information or how to access these groups in Airdrie please contact Loudonre@northlan.gov.uk or faganja@northlan.gov.uk and for any other areas please contact reynoldsam@northlan.gov.uk
