Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is designed to make a step change in the way opportunities and support are given to improve the lives of young people across the Scottish Borders. It is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and works with young people aged 10-19.

The aim of Stepping Stones is to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of young people; to support youth to participate in their communities; to build capacity in young people to better manage risky behaviours; and to increase opportunities for collaboration and partnership. Working in local communities, a team of seven Project Workers support young people based on their needs, offering one-to-one support, targeted group sessions and tailored activities. The project also supports training, achievement awards, networking and joint Borders-wide activities.
