Young People’s Choices Fund celebrating Year of Young People in Dumfries and Galloway!
This vote has now closed - look out for the results soon
In December, young people in Dumfries and Galloway were able to decide on where funding is spent on projects in the local area. Over the last month, young people and organisations have submitted a wide range of project ideas for new and exciting events and activities for young people that will be delivered during 2018, and some of these projects will be allocated a share of the £50,000 available!
The funding for this project came from the Scottish Government’s Community Choices fund and will enable young people to decide on where and how money should be used to support new and innovative opportunities for young people during Year of Young People 2018. The fund is being managed and administered by the region’s Youth Project Team, who were successful in securing the funding earlier this year.
From Monday 11th until Monday 18th December young people who have a Young Scot card voted on their preferred projects who will receive their funding in early January.
The applications have been split into 4 categories.
- Small grants in the East of the region (up to £1000)
- Large grants in the East of the region (up to £5000)
- Small grants in the West of the region (up to £1000)
- Large grants in the West of the region (up to £5000)
