Young Scot is working in partnership with the Co-op Foundation to engage with young people on the topic of Youth Loneliness and how young people in Scotland can receive the help and support they need to tackle this issue.
What is it?
We’re looking for a group of up to 20 young people, aged 11-24 from all over Scotland who have a keen interest or are passionate about tackling Youth Loneliness in Scotland. This project will be initially running from July 2019 to March 2021 and will build on the ideas developed from the pilot project
We will develop and run a “Kick Off” Residential followed by a further three residentials to look at:
- Developing findings from the pilot project
- Developing a set of actions and recommendations of what needs to happen to ensure youth loneliness is being addressed in Scotland
- Developing activities and events that will be delivered in 2020
- Creating exciting and engaging content to be hosted on the young.scot platform and social media, with the support of our Content and Membership teams!
What will young people get out of it?
Young people will have the chance to build their skills, gain new experiences through volunteering with Young Scot and engage in Co-design activities, develop content to go out on a national platform and affect decision making for all young people in Scotland!
