The #iwill Movement is looking for young people to join the team of ambassadors in Scotland and work across the UK to grow the #PowerOfYouth movement.

Who is this opportunity for?

🗺️ UK-wide with some travel required

What is #iwill?

The #iwill Campaign was set up by HRH Prince of Wales and is made up of 950 partner organisations, all with the common aim to make social action the norm for young people aged 10 to 25.

When we talk abuot social action, that might include things like:

  • Volunteering
  • Involvement in school or youth parliament
  • Campaigning
  • Mentoring
  • Peer education
  • Fundraising

Why Become an #iwill Ambassador?

#iwill Ambassadors will be recognised for their campaigning, volunteering, fundraising, befriending or mentoring to make a difference in their communities. Your recognition is a chance to raise the profile of your passion and inspire other young people to get involved and make a difference.

#iwill Ambassadors will get the chance to:

  • network and work in partnership with other young people, organisations, and sector groups across the UK
  • development skills in public speaking, communication and leadership
  • Get their ideas and views heard on a local and national platform
  • Develop their skills and knowledge through training and development opportunities
  • Induction and skills training for the role with on-going support from the #iwill Coordination Hub team and expenses covered

How to apply

If you would like to apply to be an #iwill Ambassador you can apply online via the YouthLink Scotland website.

Online drop-in support with your application is available on Tuesday 21st of September 2021 at 5pm-7pm. Please email iwill@youthlinkscotland.org for further details.

The closing date for applications will be 11:59pm on Sunday 3rd October 2021.

There will be a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) session in September about becoming an #iwill Ambassador where you can find out more about the #iwill Campaign and what it's like being an Ambassador. Find out more about the FAQ session on the YouthLink Scotland website.

If you know a young person who is taking action to make a difference to their communities, environment or a cause they care about you can nominate them to become an #iwill Ambassador too,

Next steps

If you are selected, the induction and first meeting with the #iwill Coordination Hub and nation leads will take place on Wednesday 27th October 2021 at 5pm-7pm.

If you have not been selected, you will receive an email by 15th of October 2021. Even if you don’t become an #iwill Ambassador there will be other opportunities to get involved in the #iwill movement, so make sure to keep an eye on the hashtag on socials.
