Have you wanted to join an initiative that gives a platform to young people? Learn skills like public speaking, project management and advocacy? Share the voices of your generation? Well, the EYCA Youth Panel is looking for new members to take up a two-year mandate starting in 2023.
The Young Scot National Entitlement Card is part of the EYCA. The European Youth Card Association (EYCA) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit association of 40 member organisations in 35 countries across Europe.
What will be involved?
With the guidance of a dedicated trainer, the Youth Panel will be focussing on the following areas:
- Represent EYCA in external events and join internal meetings. You'll have the opportunity to speak on behalf of EYCA at international events and join the Board & regional group meetings to understand better how EYCA functions.
- As ambassadors of the European Youth Card, you will offer feedback and suggestions on improving initiatives.
- Deliver the Rural Youth Camp. This youth-led project will see dozens of young people come together and suggest new ways to increase youth participation in rural areas. The Youth Panel will be responsible for organising this with the assistance of the EYCA team.
- Develop the Youth Panel's communication and visibility. Youth Panel will think about how to increase the reach of their initiatives to get new people involved.
