OPPORTUNITY: Tell Your Story in Our 'Meet a Young Scot' Feature

Do you have an inspiring story to tell? Have you been involved in something that has benefitted your local community? Or is there a topic that you feel passionately about and are an activist for?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, you could appear in our weekly Instagram feature raising the profile of Scotland’s amazing young people.

What is ‘Meet a Young Scot’?

Meet a Young Scot is a weekly post on Young Scot’s Instagram page that shines a spotlight on a young person in Scotland and shares their story.

Here are a few examples of past posts:

You’ll also receive 100 Young Scot Rewards points for submitting a nomination!

What we’ll ask you about

This is a spotlight on you, so whatever you want to speak about, we want to hear! We want to know what it is that you’re passionate about and why.

Tell us about any projects or initiatives that you have created or been a part of, how you got involved with them and the work that has come out of it. What would you like to say to other young people?

Week by week, on our social media, we focus on certain themes. Here’s an idea of what’s coming up, do you have something to share about one of these topics?

  • Money and Budgeting
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Climate Change
  • Things to do in the summer with your Young Scot National Entitlement Card
  • Volunteering

We’ll also ask to submit picture of yourself to feature in the post.
