In 2023, the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards will turn 17 years old! That’s right, SEVENTEEN – and they’re all about coming together and celebrating the achievements of young people across Scotland.
There’s been a vibe change and we’re excited that this year’s new look #YSAwards will take place at the iconic Platform in the heart of Glasgow – it’ll be an event to remember, packed with entertainment, street food, a red carpet reception, and most importantly the stories of amazing young people.
How it Started
Since its launch, the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards has been Scotland’s only national awards for the young people of Scotland which recognise the outstanding achievements of 11 to 26-year-olds and the extraordinary work they do to improve the lives of others.
Did you know that Ncuti Gatwa, Andy Murray, Paolo Nutini, Amy Macdonald, Martin Compston, Jamie Genevieve and Nina Nesbitt, were all previous Sunday Mail Young Scot Award winners? Who will be next?
We are SO excited to be spending another year hearing the amazing stories of young people across Scotland and the countdown is officially ON!
Nominations are now open and we are calling on people across Scotland to highlight the triumphs of young people. Categories:
- Enhancing Education
- Equality and Diversity
- Health and Wellbeing
- Unsung Hero
- Young Hero
All the fantastic young people shortlisted in the categories above will be entered automatically into the Young Scot of the Year category.
