Hi5 Award for Young People in Stirling

The online home Hi5 will be valid like this until August 2020 then it will be reviewed.

The Hi5 Award is an exciting award for young people age 5+ that records and recognises wider achievement.

To gain a Hi5 Award, young people choose a challenge, complete a minimum of 5 hours of activity, think about and comment on their achievements and gather evidence of their participation. The Hi5 Award has been credit rated and leveled by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

During this time we are piloting young people working towards their Hi5 Award from home, with support available from our youth workers.

The cost is covered by the Senior Phase & Youth Participation Team for young people aged P5 upwards. If your child is aged P1-P4 then they can still participate, but there will be a cost of £6 involved to cover the cost of the award from Youth Scotland. You can pay for the award through eventbrite  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/stirling-hi5-awards-tickets-103912894264

Support will still be provided by the team to help your child complete the award. If this cost produces a barrier to your young person participation, we are open to have a conversation about this, please email hi5@stirling.gov.uk

During the Social Isolation period associated with Coronavirus Covid-19, Youth Scotland have produced a guide for completing the Hi5 award at home, you can download this pdf guide here.
