Week 42 (21 Oct) - Caitlin, 18, Prestwick

Caitlin, 18, Prestwick

What is your best memory of growing up in South Ayrshire?

Since we have a beach aspect and lots of green space, I had so much fun outdoors as a child, and my parents always knew I was safe in the community. As I grew up, it was great to have such good transport links with bigger cities.

Tell us about your aspirations / goals?

To become a parent and to be a community doctor (GP).

What are your biggest achievements?

Getting into Medicine at Dundee Uni.

What makes you proud to be a young person living in South Ayrshire?

It is a great place to live as we have loads of interesting historical sights and my schools community was so welcoming and inviting.

If you were to pass on a message to other young people, what would your message be?

You don’t need to know what you want to do with your life – you have your whole life to figure that out.

If you could have a dinner party with a celebrity, who would it be and why?

Lin-Manuel Miranda. He is extremely intelligent and so passionate about his career so I think it would be really interesting to speak to him!
