Week 35 (2 Sept) - Scott, 12, Girvan

Scott, 12, Girvan

What is your best memory of growing up in South Ayrshire?

My best memory is going to watch the football matches in Girvan with my Mum and Dad when I was younger – they used to be so busy!

Tell us about your aspirations / goals?

I’d love to be the captain of a professional football team!

What are your biggest achievements?

This year, I was awarded football player of the year at school. This made me feel really proud as it meant I was voted the best football player in the whole school.

What makes you proud to be a young person living in South Ayrshire?

I really think that South Ayrshire is a good place to live with your family. Even though Girvan is a quite a small place, there’s loads of clubs for young people to get involved in.

If you were to pass on a message to other young people, what would your message be?

Take part in as much as you can – it’s much better than being stuck in your house!

If you could have a dinner party with a celebrity, who would it be and why?

I would like to have dinner with Brazilian footballer, Neymar. He’s my hero and has inspired me to learn new skills.
