Week 33 (19 Aug) - Rachel, 13, Coylton

Rachel, 13, Coylton

What is your best memory of growing up in South Ayrshire?

Being able to represent South Ayrshire and my school in a variety of events and competitions throughout my life.

Tell us about your aspirations / goals?

I would like to continue developing my art skills and hopefully be able to pursue a career in digital art!

What are your biggest achievements?

Managing to pass all of my violin exams so far! And being able to take part in several tennis competitions and winning several medals.

What makes you proud to be a young person living in South Ayrshire?

The nice community and the very helpful and supportive people that are involved with helping others.

If you were to pass on a message to other young people, what would your message be?

Try your hardest in all that you do. Even if you think others are better than you, you will find a strength and you will thrive.

If you could have a dinner party with a celebrity, who would it be and why?

Probably David Garrett because I admire his skills on the violin and how he can play many 'modern' pieces on the violin.
