Amy, 17, Troon

What is your best memory of growing up in South Ayrshire?

My best memories growing up in South Ayrshire are spent at Troon and Barassie beach swimming in the sea.

Tell us about your aspirations / goals?

My aspirations are to finish university with a degree in Theology. After achieving this I'm unsure where I will go; whether it will be within the church or teaching in Secondary school.

What are your biggest achievements?

Marr's young singer of the year 2018. I competed in my school's singing competition singing 'Amazing Grace'. I was shocked when they announced my name and that I had one and was really pleased.

What makes you proud to be a young person living in South Ayrshire?

Being part of the Youth Forum, it makes me proud to see how represented people in Secondary Schools and how mental health and making it better is promoted.

If you were to pass on a message to other young people, what would your message be?

Accept every opportunity you get and always be the one that speaks to the person that's alsone, make friends and always look on the bright side.

If you could have a dinner party with a celebrity, who would it be and why?

Philip Schofield, living legend, silver fox.
