As part of the Year of Young People 2018, Scottish Natural Heritage, Young Scot and ReRoute have created a new fund for young people called Future Routes.

Future Routes is open to individuals and groups of young people from across Scotland aged 11-26 who have an idea which will promote Scotland's amazing natural environment in 2018.

A group of pupils from our new S3 and S4 classes also members of our Eco-Schools Committee 2017-2018, applied for this funding.

Ettie Shattock from Young Scot said “We had a high number of submissions and the panel found it very difficult to choose the successful projects. The panel took a lot of time to read through your submission and liked your idea of cleaning beaches and recycling the plastic collected. The panel would like to part fund your idea with £1,500”
