Who doesn't like to get lost in a book? Well here comes the Summer Reading Challenge 2021! If you are aged between 4 and 12 you can delve into this challenge. The theme this year is Wild World Heroes and will help you explore amazing ways you can help save the planet. Join six characters or 'wild heroes' to help them make their town of Wilderville better for the people and animals that live there.
Sign up at your local library in Renfrewshire - read six books or more over the summer and collect stickers and a free swim pass! Click here to find out more and how you can sign up and get saving Wilderville.
If you are older and still fancy getting into reading don't worry - your local library has loads of books and other services (get online, click and collect book as well as reserve, sign up for your Young Scot National Entitlement Card and loads more). You are never too old to get into reading. Did you know that reading can increase your knowledge, memory and concentration, mental health and your vocabulary? That's like 5 summer goals in one. Maybe you have a younger relative who would love to take part? Why not share this with them?
