Services for Young People Perth and Kinross

Scott Street Logo

Services for Young People are based in the centre of Perth @Scott Street.

Designed to meet different needs of young people all under one roof, the teams at Scott Street have helped young people with health, education, housing, employment and social support for a number of years.

Scott Street provides a base for youth workers and the Through Care and After Care team, but the service covers the whole of Perth and Kinross. Some workers can be found in schools, community centres or campus buildings to be closer to rural communities.

The workers at Scott Street use different methods of working with young people. Electronic / virtual support, one-to-one, or groupwork can all be used. They do their best to work with young people in a way that is safe and comfortable to help them. This could mean having a meeting or visit with a young person in school, at Scott Street or somewhere else.

Some aspects of our service require a referral to be made. These often come from schools but can also be from parents / carers or colleagues looking for extra help for a young person they are working with.

Anyone can get in touch with us and ask a question. Often an issue can be dealt with easily by involving one of our many partners with specialist knowledge and experience that can help.

Within our service, we have workers with specific roles and expertise to cover many themes. You can find out more about these below:
