LANDED, Lanarkshire Drug Education, work across Lanarkshire
LANDED work with young people across Lanarkshire to promote messages of harm reduction on topics such as; drugs, alcohol, cannabis, tobacco and sexual health. We do this by delivering topic-based workshops to groups of young people. Some of these sessions are volunteer-led.
Cannabis is the most widely used illegal drug in the UK, and the most popular way people use it is to smoke it in a joint with tobacco.
Smoking cannabis and tobacco together puts the user at higher risk of developing more than 50 tobacco-related health conditions like cancer, heart disease, and serious lung conditions, and even causes around 10,000 deaths per year in Scotland alone.
We want to learn more about the relationship between tobacco, cannabis, and young people in Lanarkshire, and that's where you come in.
