7 Benefits of Your Young Scot Card

Got a Young Scot card and unsure what you can use it for in North Ayrshire, and beyond? We've got a whole list of ways you can make the most of the benefits it brings, both in and out of school! 


1. Proof of Age

The Young Scot card is part of the accredited national proof of age card shame PASS.

You could use your Young Scot card as proof of age when buying age restricted goods, to prove you can still get a child fare on the bus or, if you're over 18, in some pubs and other establishments that accept PASS hologram cards.

If you have had your Young Scot card refused for concessionary travel on Scotland's transport network, a discount in a store or when using at a leisure centre please fill out this form to let us know.

2. Discounts

Your Young Scot card gives you access to discounts in loads of fab places! What's even better is your Young Scot card is valid until you're 26, so you can get these discounts well after you leave school too! Some of our discounts include £1 off Membership at Evolution Skatepark, 5% off holiday bookings at Fraser Travel Ltd and 10% off school uniforms, dancewear and workwear at Uniform 4 All!

3. Travel discounts

If you're aged 16, 17 or 18 you can get a third off of single and most return train fares as well as 50% off of weekly or monthly season tickets.

On the bus you can also enjoy a third off of your single fares. Perfect if you pay for the bus to school!
