- 1. Book a trip
One of the best things about summer are the holidays. Why not recapture those vacation vibes by getting away from it all. Whether it's jetting off to the sun or a local day out, break the routine of day to day life by going on a trip. Remember you can get loads of travel discounts with your Young Scot card, including 20% off Citylink coaches.
- 2. Indoor summer party
Let's face it, it's not easy to plan a garden party even in the height of summer what with Scotland's, um, unpredictable weather. Why not arrange to have a summer party indoors? Get the deckchairs out the garage, put up a tent and crack open the BBQ. Shove an umbrella in your drink and you're basically back on the islands.
- 3. Make a summer playlist
What songs remind you of summer? Why not make yourself a playlist to take yourself back to summer? Better still - here's one we made earlier. Sit back, relax and think of warmer times.
- 4. Get down to the beach
So we aren't quite the Caribbean, but believe it or not, Scotland has hundreds of miles of sandy beaches. Wrap up warm and wander along the sandy dunes. Best of all, it'll be much quieter now the weather is cooler.
- 5. Brighten up your outfit
Even though you might need to wrap up warm during Autumn, why not bring a splash of colour to a dull day by wearing bright colours? Pink, peach and yellow aren't just for summer. Oh, and don't forget your sunglasses - even when it's cold the sun can still be shining.
The best thing about recreating summer is that you get the benefits of the season without the wasps, hayfever or sunburn to worry about. What's not to love?
