Six Ways to Take a Mind Vacation

Sometimes we need to give our minds the freedom to unwind and relax. Check out our tips on taking a mind vacation.

1. Run away from your problems (literally)

Running can clear your head as you focus on your breathing and your journey, rather than whatever worries have been troubling you. Plus, exercise releases endorphins which makes us feel happier!

2. Have a laugh

Watch a bunch of comedy movies, have a Netflix sitcom binge or meet up with your funniest friend for a giggle. Laughter makes us feel better and will take your mind off any worries.

3. Wash away your troubles

Take a relaxing bath with lots of bubbles and some scented candles to soothe your mind and your muscles.

4. Get lost in another world

Immerse yourself in the strange characters and distant lands of your favourite book, to distract yourself from the stresses of the day.

5. Coo over some cute

Snuggle up with your pet for an instant mood boost. If you don't have a pet of your own pop round to a friends or check out some cute GIFS and pics online - who doesn't love a cuddly kitten or a baby bunny? Plus, doggos can actually help us maintain our positive mental health.

6. Create something new

Try baking a cake or doing some doodling. Creating something will make you feel good (especially when you get to savour the end result) and keep you busy.
