Volunteer With the Midlothian Early Action Partnership Fund

Midlothian Council have been working away at the Midlothian Early Action Partnership (MEAP) and are currently in the process of creating a £30,000 Young Person Fund that those aged between 12 – 25 yrs can apply for to improve the mental health and wellbeing of their communities and peers, very exciting! To support in the development and delivery of the fund we need of volunteers for a Youth Panel, aged 16 – 25 yrs.

As a member of the panel you will be a part of the decision making every step of the way from planning to promotion of the fund, as well as a part of the bigger conversation on youth mental health and how to improve it. Everyone has mental health and we believe that young people have the best experience and ideas on how to shape the future. You don’t have to be a confident public speaker or have experience of volunteering, if you have a voice that needs to be heard and you care about making things better for other people then we’d love to see your application.

In total we are looking for 8 – 12 volunteers, who can commit to an initial 6 months. The deadline is 22nd July @ 3pm, all applicants must complete the online form, link available through info sheet. If there are any barriers to filling this form out or if any other info is needed then please get in touch with me and we can find a solution.
