Guides
For ages 10 – 14
- Guides learn new skills, make their own decisions and have fun
- They meet new people and make friends
- They work together in small groups called Patrols
- They decide on and plan many of their own activities
- They go on camps and holidays, and may even travel abroad
- There is a Guide Promise and Law
- There is a range of Guide clothes that they can choose from
- They face challenges and have adventures
- They complete skill builders and badges
Rangers
For ages 14 – 18
- Rangers and Young Leaders
- They are aged between 14 and 18 years old
- Their programme follows on from Guides with a wide variety of choices on offer
- The programme is linked to recognised qualifications and awards
- They have camps and holidays and often travel abroad
- They learn leadership skills
- Promise is the same as the Guides promise
- Young Leaders help in Rainbow, Brownie or Guide units.
- They make new friends and have great fun
