How to make a Salmon Stirfry
Step One: Pre Heat the oven to 180 degrees, put the salmon in the oven and cook for 20 minutes.
Step Two: Add the onions, garlic, mushrooms, babycorn and broccoli to a lightly oiled frying pan (I didn't use any oil because most of my vegetables were frozen). Fry for 5 minutes.
Step Three: Mix the Soy Sauce, Ginger and Honey together. Add to the frying pan. Fry for another 5 minutes. Turn the heat down after this and put the frying pan lid on to create steam and keep the heat in. Leave for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step Four: Boil some water and add to the noodles. Boil for 3-5 minutes. Drain ready to go into the stir fry.
Step Five: Take salmon out of the oven, flake up and add to the stir fry with or without the skin. (I always take the skin off mine).
Step Six: Add noodles to the stir fry along with some extra soy sauce and a drizzle of honey. Mix Together.
Step Seven: Serve up for everyone and add some prawn crackers to the side of your plate. Enjoy!
Recipe Idea supplied by our CLD Worker Grace Cameron - This was almost a dinner disaster, she had to improvise with ingredients from her freezer and tins out of her cupboard as the stirfry vegetable pack she had bought had expired and went all mushy in the bag. Also she had forgotten to buy Chinese 5 Spice for the flavouring so she had to improvise with the sauce too. Honey, ginger and soy sauce to the rescue, the frozen garlic helped with the taste too.
It ended up being really delicious even if it wasn't what she had intended and all her family cleared their plates.
