The End By Terri Simpson

Is death the end of life?

Just here and then gone

Whether it is natural or by a knife

Is there somewhere that we move on?

A next life after here

Another realm, better than this

It is the unknown we fear

And not death's kiss

Do we leave our family behind?

Never to be seen again

Or are we a presence of a different kind?

In the hearts of our families, reminiscing on times back then

What is the purpose?

Stretching on for 80-odd years

Like a curse

Forcing us to endure our fears
