Dance With Me - A Poem by Ashley Pannell

Dance with me in the springtime morning, as the flowers start to bloom,

Dance with me in the sunny rays of a summer afternoon.

Dance with me in the evening, as the autumn leaves take flight,

Dance with me in the cold winds, of a frosty winter night.

Dance with me, while we're young and free, and nothing really matters,

Dance with me, when there's no music, and nothing but my chatter.

Dance with me on the dark days, when we fight and scream and lie,

Dance with me, in the happy moments where we laugh until we cry.

Dance with me, even as you grow cold, there's no need to be afraid,

Dance with me, even as our life is balanced on a blade.

Dance with me, even as our bones grow old and frail,

Dance with me, in the quiet, as my legs start to fail.
