Stonehaven Youth Platform

Stonehaven Youth Forum - Stand up, Be heard

Stonehaven Youth Forum provides an opportunity for young people aged 11-18yrs old to get together and take action on youth issues that matter to them in their community.

Previously the Stonehaven Youth Forum have helped to organise a dementia disco, and looked to support mental health around exam stress through use of therapets. One member of the group has undertaken creating a presentation around 'promoting acceptance' and delivered this to hundreds of local young people. The forum are looking to do a beach clean locally in the future.

The current group would welcome new members and to hear what issues are important to others in the local community.

Stonehaven Youth Forum normally meets after school on a Tuesday at Mackie Academy, however during lockdown the group are using Google Meet to continue with meetings fortnightly, Tuesdays at 2.30pm.

If you are interested in attending the group -either digitally or in the future when face to face meetings are possible-  please contact Susan Millar (Community Learning & Development Worker) at susan.millar@aberdeenshire.gov.uk
